Every Needle Point home is built to reduce energy consumption and lower long-term maintenance costs. We achieve that through insulating, caulking, and sealing voids to reduce air leakage; high-efficiency hot water heaters; Energy Star–rated appliances throughout; compact fluorescent and LED lighting; and optional solar panels to help offset electricity costs.
Beyond the home itself, we've rethought how we operate — hiring local subcontractors, driving hybrid vehicles, specifying low-VOC paint to improve interior air quality, using wood-fiber I-joists instead of lumber from mature trees, and sourcing materials locally whenever possible.
